Cartina della Sicilia con Mazzarino
Mazzarino is an ancient town.
Lifestyle is very quiet. The ruins of an old castle and some ancient churches are
the tourist attractions.
In our school there are seven
departments, located in three different buildings:
Classical High School;
High School of Human Sciences;
Marketing and Finance
Administration Institute;
Branch Construction,
Environmental and Territory;
Scientific High School;
Hotel Management School;
Agricultural institute
The Key people involved in this
project work in the agricultural institute. This institute is situated
outskirts in the countryside. The school has a computer lab, chemistry and
microbiology laboratory equipped with high tech equipment for the
bramatological and microbiological analysis of food.
The Agricultural Institute has
a firm, which is close to school and two greenhouses.
Aim of the Agrarian School of
Mazzarino is the preparation and training of young people who wish to invest on
a career in agricultural field and at the same time not to be deficient in
general education in case that finally decide to choose another professional
field.
In our school, apart from
general knowledge subjects like maths, history, Italin, English etc, are tough
in additions..
The school offer different
activities such as:
cultivation and care of
aromatic plants;
grape harvest;
wine production;
olive harvest;
oil production;
sowing and harvesting different
varieties of ancient wheat;
The main goal of these
activities is to transfer the traditional work in the field to our next
generation and keep them alive, by this way, we could have students take out of
the Virtual World.
Also, we
have the chance of improving and enhancing their creative manual abilities and
their sense of aesthetic by making them aware of the richness of the art of
cultivating aromatic plants and ancient wheat , produce wine and oil. We would
like to make them know and promoted among young people so they will gain real
hobbies. Moreover, our student mature attitude and behaviours of respect for
the environment.
